Had a Navara for 3 years, was very thirsty - maybe 21 mpg even driving carefully. Was like paying me tax bill on drip each time I filled it up.

I think my Silverado was 15 mpg but then again, gas is cheap as chips in the US

Bought mine 2 years old, aventura auto, used to cost £110 from empty to brim, lasted 4 days, approximately 20-25k annual.
Got it for the same reasons your looking, was nice and comfortable with everything on it but when I first bought it home the wife looked at me and said - are you having a mid life crisis.
?

Must admit I looked at the truck and thought maybe.

The VW is the most car like & comfortable, but as you've identified will most likely be the priciest as well..
Have recently driven, the VW, Nissan & Mitsubishi, not a lot between the other two, personally preference was the Nissan, I'm considering getting one again but as mentioned, very juicy, people do bring up about the Nissan reliability but I guess if it's leased & getting handed back after 3 or so years reliability isn't likely to be an issue for you..

I’ve got a fully loaded Amorak that I’m going to sell what year you looking for. Lovely motor and great drive I just don’t use it anymore

This is a subject I know well - usual error in that, no insult intended, your focus is all about the hardware, the vehicle

You would be well advised to interogate the 'lease'; mileage, maintenance inclusion, RFL, terms of return condition and that's before early termination penalty

Be careful, employee/contract schemes whilst not necessarily a bad deal, frequently include a kick back and give them 'lock in' with the lessee

The tax position I am entirely conversant with, but in the interests of not spammimg the thread with a touch of reality above which truck bounces best, I'll call a halt

PM me if you want and I can advise accordingly

Was considering the L200 but don’t necessarily need the truck capability...just the size. Too juicy though.

Anyone had a BMW X5??

Re: Small pick up trucks vehicle - advice needed
Any Ulrika Jonsson will use a lot of fuel . Think 22/26 MPG .

If you want a larger car then go the usual BMW/Merc/Volvo route.
